BBQ IN THE USA!
So let’s get a couple things straight.
1- There are a few local eateries that have perfected all things BBQ this side of the Mississippi.
2-Since summer in these parts slightly resemble Dante’s 7th circle, there is no point in throwing any ribs on the barbie.
3-If you don’t like BBQ, abort this post now, we don’t need that kind of negativity around here.
That being said, I have taken it upon myself to travel around the southern region of this great State to bring you a short and sweet, yet very tasty list of my favorite southern delicacies on the menu.
Let’s make our way over to Sonny Boys. 3 locations for your picking, one in Hurricane, Cedar and their newest location in St. George. Voted best in state, 3 years in a row makes it hard to believe that you would leave disappointed. Favorite dish on the menu? BBQ NACHOS!!!! I’m going to break it down for you.
-Start with tortilla chips, sprinkle shredded cheese, melt it.
-Add your choice of meat (Pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken)
-Layer on some corn salsa, nacho cheese, drizzle bbq sauce
-Top it off with a pile of coleslaw and…
! BAM !Sonny Boys BBQ Nachos!
Next stop, D.U.B.’s BBQ. Family owned and operated since 2007, they take pride in their southern style menu. So, i’ll just get to the point here. D.U.B.’s pastrami cured bacon burger… Yeah
Ran into this special and it stole a little piece of my soul. Pork belly cured in house. Add D.U.B.’s traditional BBQ sauce and throw some grilled onions, bun in up and there you have it. A southern style heaven in your mouth.
Friday night? Hungry? Friends ditch you? Head over to D.U.B.’s, grab some grub and enjoy some live music. With a menu like theirs, who needs friends?
Last but not least, Rib & Chop House. I’ve gotta admit, I feel pretty fortunate enough to work so close to this place because lunch time has become quite delicious. So let’s end on a happy and traditional note. Pulled Pork Sandwich… Mmmm
Their recipe has won the awards, it’s been smoked and it’s been pulled. Time to dress it up with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles on the side. Choose your side and you’ve now got enough fuel to get you through the rest of the work day.
